{"id":12,"date":"2015-01-13T13:54:00","date_gmt":"2015-01-13T13:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/matthew.somewhatunlikely.com\/?p=8"},"modified":"2015-01-13T13:54:00","modified_gmt":"2015-01-13T13:54:00","slug":"portfolio-runescape","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/somewhatunlikely.com\/index.php\/2015\/01\/13\/portfolio-runescape\/","title":{"rendered":"Portfolio: RuneScape"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I worked on Jagex&#8217;s flagship MMORPG,&nbsp;RuneScape,&nbsp;for around 5 years:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>August 2008 &#8211; November 2009: Content Developer (scripter\/designer\/writer)<\/li><li>August 2011 &#8211; January 2013: Senior Game Designer<\/li><li>January 2013 &#8211; August 2015: Design Team Leader\n<ul>\n<li>Including November 2013 &#8211; October 2014: Acting Monetisation Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In this time I had roles on countless updates (I didn&#8217;t keep a list and I haven&#8217;t succeeded in finding one since) as designer, writer, scripter, design reviewer or product owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As design team leader I also line managed the RS design team (all the designated designers; content developers filled two further teams), taking responsibility for their professional development and other management issues.
